Historic New Harmony
Description
Historic New Harmony needs you!

We're looking for volunteers to help bring the past to life at our annual Heritage Artisans Days festival, Wednesday through Friday, April 23-25. Thousands of elementary school students will be coming to New Harmony, Indiana, to experience 19th-century history through interaction with historic interpreters who demonstrate their professions and roles in a community. Volunteers at Heritage Artisans Days will welcome students, teachers and chaperones to the event, assist with performances and demonstrations at the Murphy Auditorium and Working Men's Institute, sell tickets and rock candy, support event activities, and more. No expert knowledge about history required - just enthusiasm for making a positive impact and a good experience for the kids and their adults.

Dates: Wednesday, April 23, Thursday, April 24, and Friday, April 25
Location: Volunteer check-in at the Atheneum Visitors Center, 401 North Street, New Harmony, IN
Available Shifts: 8-10:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m., 12:30-3 p.m., or all day (8 a.m.-3 p.m.)
